A new PoderData poll on the presidential election was published. According to the poll, former President Lula has 52% of the valid votes and President Jair Bolsonaro has 48% — a gap of only four percentage points. Yesterday, Senator Marcos do Val (Podes-ES) said that he had gathered 29 signatures — two more than the minimum requirement — in support of the request to open a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate electoral polling institutes in the Senate. The debate between the presidential candidates organized by the press group formed by CNN Brasil, SBT, Estadão/Eldorado, Veja, Terra and NovaBrasilFM has been confirmed. It will be held on Friday, October 21, at 9:30 p.m.
