Positive news in the social area strengthens Bolsonaro’s positive image

During his time in Rio Grande do Norte (RN), President Jair Bolsonaro announced that the emergency aid will be extended until December this year. According to Bolsonaro, the value of the benefit after its extension is not yet defined.

The aid that has been paid since April to informal workers is R$ 600. This week, the president defended a “middle ground” between R$ 600 and R$ 200 – an amount defended by members of the economic team. It is speculated that the new value will vary between R$ 300 and R$ 400.

Although from October forward the value of the benefit will be lower, the popularity of President Jair Bolsonaro is unlikely to be greatly affected.
