The government still hopes that the improvement in the economic environment can continue and, with that, increase its popularity among the electorate. Minister Paulo Guedes said yesterday that the government can use the excess in tax collection to correct the income tax table for individuals. After the backlash caused by Lula’s statements on abortion and fearing electoral damage, Lula issued new statements on the subject. He said he is personally against it. The União Brasil has announced it will submit a presidential candidate by April 14. The União Brasil is speaking with the PSDB, MDB and Cidadania about the possibility of an alliance for the presidential election.
