President Lula recalls the vandalism of public buildings that took place on January 8 last year in an event to be held today at the National Congress. The opposition believes the government should not be politicizing the event and released a statement last week criticizing what it called “the abuse of powers” of the STF. Rodrigo Pacheco is expected to meet with Congressional leaders this week to discuss the payroll tax relief issue. Another important topic that will be sanctioned by the President by Thursday, January 11, is the Multi-Year Investment Plan (PPA 2024-2027). The text presented by the government foresees a total of R$ 13.3 trillion distributed across 88 programs.
