Putin and Biden give speeches on the war

On February 21 Putin addressed the Russian Federal Assembly. He said that the war was forced on Russia by NATO expansion and a neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, which is historically Russian. He announced that Russia is suspending START. This is a nuclear arms treaty. Putin said Western sanctions have had no impact. Biden spoke in Warsaw in the open air. He said that the US will continue to stand up for sovereignty and the right of people to live free from aggression. He praised the courage of the Ukrainian people. Biden said he wanted to see Finland and Sweden join NATO. So far Turkey is vetoing them. The US President said Putin's hydrocarbon blackmail has failed. The orations came almost on the eve of the first anniversary of the war.
