Putin discusses security with team due to renewed attacks on Russia

On December 6 Putin discussed the issue with his Security Council at the Kremlin. More drone attacks hit Russia on December 6, this time in the Kursk Region. This came a day after two attacks deep inside Russia. Putin's spokesman assured the public that the government was doing what was needed to forfend further attacks. He called the attacks ''terrorist'' The Kursk attack caused a fire at an oil storage tank, with no casualties reported. The attack was almost certainly by Ukraine but this has not been confirmed by Ukraine.  These attacks are not causing significant damage. But they are a little demoralizing. On the other hand they play into Putin's narrative that Russia is compelled to fight due to Ukrainian aggression.
