Putin hints he may end the Black Sea Grain Initiative

On July 13 he said that no concessions have been made to Russia about the BSGI. The BSGI was signed in 2022 and has allowed Ukraine to export 32 million tons of grain as well as sunflower oil. The BSGI expires on July 18. Turkey was instrumental in getting Ukraine and Russia to sign the BSGI. The neutral ships carrying grain sail out through Turkish waters. Turkey is a major customer for Ukrainian grain. So are Bangladesh, Syria and Egypt. The Turkish president said he is striving to convince Russia to allow the BSGI to continue.  Russia wants restrictions eased on Russian food and fertilizer exports. Putin said he is still considering whether to extend the BSGI. If BSGI ends this will hurt the economies of countries that are friendly to Russia. Will they blamed Russia or the West for it?
