Putin's chef admits interfering in US elections

On November 7 Yevgeny Prigozhin finally admitted what he had denied for years: that he interfered in US elections. Prigozhin is very close to Putin and is under sanctions from the US and EU. He vowed to continue to ''interfere...carefully, surgically and precisely.'' The Russian Government has denied any connection to such interference. The Internet Research Agency in St Petersburg was seen by some as helpful to Trump in the 2016 election. Prigozhin's statement was cited by his team. It comes a day before the US midterm elections where the Republicans are widely forecast to win. In September 2022 Prigozhin acknowledged that he founded Wagner Private Military Company. For years prior to this he disavowed any link to Wagner. The Russian Government denies any connection to Wagner. Some Western analysts say that Wagner is effectively an extension of the Russian Military. Wagner has fought in Syria, Libya, Mali and Mozambique.
