Qatar hosts US-Iran talks to try and break the nuclear deadlock

The US and Iranian nuclear negotiators are arriving in Doha shortly for their first (indirect) talks since the JCPOA discussions in Vienna went on an extended pause in March. There have been rumors that Iran might be willing to postpone a removal of the IRGC's terrorism designation, the main outstanding issue, until after a return to the nuclear deal. There is little optimism but a breakthrough in Doha is not beyond the realm of the possible. A lifting of sanctions might reduce oil prices by $10-15/barrel but would not in itself remove all of the tightness in the market.
