Data released today by the Ministry of the Economy, through the General Registry of Employed and Unemployed Workers (Caged), points out that the economy lost 1.19 million formal jobs in the first half of 2020. According to Bruno Bianco, Special Secretary for Social Security and Labor at the Ministry of the Economy, in the coming days, President Jair Bolsonaro and the Minister of the Economy, Paulo Guedes, will announce a jobs-generation program focused on the recovery of the economy. This is yet another government initiative seeking to create a positive social agenda. In addition to this jobs-creation program, the launch of Renda Brasil, a basic income program, is being coordinated.
