Guedes is in favor of selling Petrobras, however, passing a bill of this nature would be very difficult right now – there are only nine weeks left until the parliamentary recess. The opposition is participating in the truck driver meetings, therefore, it is demanding more attention from the government. But the feeling is that the strike will not prosper. According to the House procedure, it is not possible to deal with the value of the Auxílio Brasil payments or the Bolsa Família rates at this time. The deadline for submitting amendments to the proposal has expired, but changes can still be made in the Senate.
