Rumors: Natalie Jaresko will be nominated for Prime Minister

Over the last few weeks there were many talks that Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko is a good candidate to replace Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the Prime minister post and to lead the country out of political and economic crisis. Today many insiders and even media reported that finally Natalie Jaresko agreed for this adventure and even received guarantees that she might bring her people to the Cabinet. If the rumors come true it’s a very good news for us. Natalie Jaresko has impressive track record (she completed restructuring deal and she pushed through tax reform) and she is positively perceived by civil society and by western donors. If she’s approved by the parliament that means the current corruption crisis is over. However, it is a big question if the parliament supports Natalie Jaresko for this position. MPs definitely do not like Lady No and it will be a big bargain to get her approved as Prime minister. Provisionally the issue with Jaresko should be decided by the mid of March.
