Russia agrees to revive the grain deal

On November 2 Moscow said that it was rejoining the deal that allows Ukrainian food to be shipped via the Black Sea. But Putin warned that Russia will end the deal if it is provoked. Russia said it was allowing the deal to be reanimated since it is satisfied with promises from Ukraine not to use the maritime corridor to attack Russia. The UN applauded Russia's decision. The food is sailing out through Turkish waters. Despite Russia's ending the deal for a few days, ships had continued to pick up food from the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk and Odessa. Over 9.7 million tones of food have left Ukraine since July 2022 under the deal. The deal caused world food prices to fall. On November 2 the US said the Russian officials keep talking about the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine. The US is worried that they might be used. The US also said that North Korea is sending artillery shells to Russia.
