Russia anti-corruption campaigner poisoned

On August 20 Alexei Navalny reportedly drank poisoned tea at a Russian airport. The waiter suddenly disappeared. Navalny was rushed to a hospital following an emergency landing by the plane he was on. He has been declared well enough to fly to Germany for medical treatment, despite reports of his being in a coma. Russian Police declared that Navalny was poisoned, although doctors from the hospital where he was treated announced no poison was found in this blood.Navalny is prominent a member of the radical opposition. He has been an indefatigable campaigner against embezzlement and bribery. He has been jailed on several occasions and has made many powerful enemies.
