Russia claims to be gaining in Bakhmut

On April 15 said that it has moved forward on the edges of the city. The Battle of Bakhmut has been going on since August 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry said that Wagner Group units are among those moving forward. It said that the Ukrainians were destroying buildings on purpose before pulling out. Russia said that it has cut off the only road by which the Ukrainians can bring in ammunition or retreat. Ukraine claims that it still controls the access road. Some Western media sources have said that it is true that Russia is moving forward and Ukraine is withdrawing some of its troops.
