Russia increasing military manufacturing

On January 26 the head of Russian state defense conglomerate Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that it was speeding up the production of ammunition because of the Ukraine War. He denied that Russia was running short of munitions. He claimed that Rostec had multiplied production due to the Defense Ministry's orders but did not provide data. However, he noted that Russia has used a lot of ammunition in Ukraine. The US said that Russia would use all its fully serviceable ammunition in early 2023 and then would have to use older stock that has been stored for years and may not be reliable. Putin has also urged Rostec to speed up production. Mr. Chemezov seems to be a friend of Putin's. Putin claimed that the factories are working around the clock to make tanks, planes and munitions. Strikes on January 25 shows that Russia still has considerable numbers of drones.
