Russia reinforces Kherson

Ukraine is building up forces for its stated objective to retake Kherson. Pundits doubt that Ukraine can retake it with infantry. However, Russia is moving in more troops to Kherson. Some of these are elite paratroopers. Russia now has about 20,000 troops in Kherson. Ukraine has taken villages near Kherson. It has also damaged three bridges over the River Dnipro. Russia has used a radar reflector to make Ukraine's radar-guided missiles fail to hit the bridge. Russia has made two pontoon ferry bridges as well. Ukraine is using long-range weaponry to hit Russian ammunition depots and command posts. Some suspect that Ukraine never intended to storm Kherson. It was all talk to draw in Russian forces to the city where they can be cut off from resupply. Russia has slowed down its attacks in the Donbas because it has sent too much in terms of troops and material to Kherson. Russia has not taken Sloviansk or Kramatorsk: two cities in Donbas. That is after 2 months of trying.
