Russia reopens flights to 5 countries

On September 20 Moscow announced that flights will be resumed to South Korea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus from September 27. Citizens and permanent residents of aforementioned countries shall be permitted to enter Russia. These four nations are also accepting Russian citizens. Russia already allows flights to and from the UK, Tanzania, Egypt and the UAE, Switzerland and the Maldives. The Swiss only allow in Russians who are permanent residents of Switzerland, students at Swiss institutes or those coming for medical treatment.The EU bars Russians unless they are diplomats.The exceptions are Greece and Poland, which allow Russians in for 14 days maximum, Russia bans EU citizens.92, 000 Russians were brought home on mercy flights at the beginning of lockdown. There are still 100,000 outside the country but many do not wish to return. Russia has 1.1 million coronavirus cases but has suffered only 18,000 deaths.
