Russia says it has beaten off a Ukrainian counterattack

On June 4 the counterattack took place in the Donetsk Region of Ukraine. Russia annexed Donetsk in 2022. Russia said that there were attacks on five sectors of the front and claimed that mechanized and tank battalions had attacked. Russia published videos of Ukrainian vehicles being fired at. On June 4 Ukraine published a video telling soldiers not to say anything about the counter-offensive. Ukraine is worried that details will leak. On June 4 the Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL) attacked into Russia. FRL is a pro-Ukrainian force. Russia acknowledged that the FRL took two prisoners.
