Russia voting on constitutional reform

On June 25 Russia began voting in a referendum on constitutional amendments. Polls are open till July 1. The week long referendum is intended to facilitate social distancing but also to boost turnout. Some people are allowed to vote online. The amendments would allow Putin to serve another two terms if re-elected. That means he could stay in office till 2036. He is already 67. Other amendments assert the primacy of domestic over international law, the centrality of God, that marriage is only heterosexual, that the federation has primacy over the regions, benefits must rise with inflation and no territory can ever be ceded.
