Russian intervention officially recognized

President Petro Poroshenko today spoke to Ukrainians and officially recognized that Russian troops invaded Ukraine. In fact, it was nothing new for everyone; however, after many western observers finally recognizing the fact of Russian invasion Poroshenko also had to do this. Situation aggravated yesterday when Russia deployed more squads at the south of Donetsk oblast and occupied few villages and towns. We can hardly talk about large-scale intervention so far since according to different reports Russia deployed only 15 thnd soldiers while Ukraine keeps at least 50 thnd soldiers at the region. Against this backdrop so far it looks more like another maneuver to complicate Ukrainian army activities; however, situation might change any moment. The main consequence of this statement of Poroshenko is increased probability for martial law approval. If that decision is approved it will give a start to large-scale mobilization, election process will be stopped, and authorities will be passed to the military.
