Russian oil exports up

On February 28 it was reported that Russian oil exports to the US and UK are up. This is largely due to sanctions on Venezuela. Russia exported 267 million tons of crude in 2019. The biggest purchasers in descending order were China, the Netherlands and Germany. The US was the 12th biggest buyer. America bought only USD 2.2 billion worth of Russian oil. That is a major increase on 2018 when the US bought USD 900 million worth. British purchases of Russian oil in 2019 were at USD 1.2 billion which is more than double the amount in 2018.
