Russian super hacker jailed in the US

On September 29 Yevgeny Nikulin was given 7 years in federal prison in the United States. Nikulin has been dubbed the Putin of hacking. He hacked LinkedIn, Dropbox and other social media entities.Nikulin has spent 4 years in jail awaiting trial. He was arrested in the Czech Republic and was extradited to the US. Nikulin pleaded not guilty. Nikulin is said to have helped Russian intelligence. Over 12 Russian cybercriminals have been arrested on US warrants across the world. Moscow is furious about this saying that the US is persecuting innocent Russians. Russia and the US no longer collaborate on cybercrime. The FSB is said to have used hackers to tilt the US election in 2016. Nikita Kislitsin is a Russian hacker who met the FBI and informed on Nikulin and others. Nikulin amassed a fortune through his activities. Kislitsin was later convicted in the US for hacking. He later worked for Group-IB which is a Russian cyberresearch firm. Nikulin worked for Aleksei Belan who was sanctioned by America for stealing a billion Yahoo email addresses. The FSB is alleged to have ordered this.
