On February 25 President Zelensky said the Russian Army is deliberately targeting civilians in the Ukrainian capital. There are constant explosions. Russian paratroopers now control Gomostel Airfield near Kyiv: Russia claims to have destroyed 11 airfields. Ukraine stated 137 of its military were killed on February 24. Conscripts have been called up and all reservists have been mobilized. Zelensky warned that a new iron curtain was descending. He claimed Russia's seizure of Chernobyl was ''a declaration of war on all Europe.''Russia is attacking from all points of the compass. Russian bases in Belarus allow Russia to attack from the north-west.Western sources stated that Russia has attained total air superiority. World oil prices have risen past USD 100. That is the highest since 2014.There were pro-Ukrainian demonstrations in many EU capitals. In several Russian cities there were anti-war demonstrations, and dozens of people were arrested.
