The PEC on Fuels will include an increase in the Auxílio Brasil program payment from R$400 to R$600, as well as a truck drivers’ voucher, an increase in the gas voucher, different treatment of ethanol in relation to other fuels and a subsidy for public transportation. Despite successive postponements, the PEC is expected to be put to a vote and approved in the Senate this week. Yesterday, Senator Randolfe Rodrigues submitted a request to create a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) on the Ministry of Education (MEC). The goal is to investigate allegations of corruption in the administration of former Minister Milton Ribeiro. The presidential debate will be held in Brasília, starting at 9:30 a.m., and will be attended by Simone Tebet (MDB) and Ciro Gomes (PDT). President Jair Bolsonaro will participate at 3 p.m.
