Some EU countries want to ban Russian visitors

On August 10 Estonia called for all Russians to be prohibited from visiting the EU. Finland is mulling reducing the number of visas for Russians. The question is whether banning Russians from the EU would send a strong anti-war message to Russia, or would it hurt anti-war Russians as well as heightening Russian belligerence? A French chateau banned Russian tourists. This ban was overturned on August 9. The tourist attraction is Chateau de Vincennes, which is theoretically a military base. Ironically, a Russian who had been refused admission in July 2022 was an anti-war liberal who had immigrated to France. There are over 80,000 Russians in France.
