Yesterday, the Federal Attorney General's Office (AGU) filed a request in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to extend the deadline for conciliation with Eletrobras in the lawsuit that calls for greater government participation in the company. Also yesterday, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, stated that President Lula could sign a provisional measure (MP) for the electricity transmission sector next week, resulting in a 3% reduction in electricity bills throughout the country. Yesterday, Haddad confirmed that the government is considering going to the STF regarding Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco’s (PSD-MG) decision to extend MP 1202 and remove the part of the text that dealt with the resumption of the payroll tax for municipalities.
