The Anti-Gang Bill, which establishes the Legal Framework for Combating Organized Crime, is currently blocking the House agenda and could be voted on this Tuesday. If approved, it will be sent to President Lula for sanction. The president of the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJC), Congressman Leur Lomanto Jr. (União-BA), is expected to officially announce the rapporteur for the 6x1 Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC 8/25). The leading name under consideration is Congressman Paulo Azi (União-BA). The two leading presidential camps are currently facing headwinds. On President Lula’s side, tensions have emerged with evangelical voters following a tribute he received from a Rio de Janeiro samba school. On Senator Flávio Bolsonaro’s side, public sparring among allies continues.
