Minister of Finance Fernando Haddad confirmed yesterday that a change in the inflation target will not be on the agenda of the meeting of the National Monetary Council (CMN) tomorrow. The government continues to work intensely for the approval of the provisional measure (MP) that re-establishes the so-called “quality vote” of the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF). The probability is for the MP to be approved by Congress, but not in the same format that it was submitted by the Executive Office. At the CEO Forum, Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco said that the Senate will work to avoid setbacks in achievements made in recent years, such as reforms, legislative frameworks, and the modernization of laws.
