TURKEY - Report 23 Mar 2025 by Murat Ucer and Atilla Yesilada

On Sunday, CHP mayor Imamoglu and 92 “accomplices” were found guilty of fraud and/or supporting terror organizations, with Imamoglu being sent to Silivri Correctional Facility. Main opposition party CHP is also facing the threat of being put under “receivership” -- a threat the party decided to deflect by renewing its Grand Convention.
