Congress will operate on a reduced schedule this week due to the Corpus Christi holiday on June 4. On Tuesday (June 2), Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) will meet with party leaders to discuss the legislative timetable for the constitutional amendment proposal (PEC) that would end the six-days-on, one-day-off (6x1) work schedule. In the Senate, the amendment will first be reviewed by the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) before proceeding to the floor. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will hold a cabinet meeting on Wednesday (June 3), the second such meeting of the year.
