Yesterday, Superior Electoral Court (TSE) Justice Benedito Gonçalves cast his first vote in the trial that could lead to former President Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) ineligibility for future elections. He voted in favor of prosecuting Bolsonaro. Pressure from the political sphere on the Central Bank increased after the minutes of the most recent Copom meeting were released. The Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) of the Senate approved four invitation requests yesterday for the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, to speak at the committee. Today is the deadline for submitting an appeal to the bill that extends the payroll tax exemption until 2027.
