Last night, the federal government released the Revenue and Expenditure Report for the third two-month period of the year and announced the unfreezing of R$20.7 billion from the 2025 budget. The government had frozen R$31.3 billion back in May. Lower House President Hugo Motta suspended all committee meetings until August 1, effectively blocking the PL party's attempts to organize sessions in support of Bolsonaro. This decision further inflames tensions between Motta and the opposition. Once Congress returns from recess, several issues are expected to regain traction—particularly the regulation of app-based work. A special committee has been created to analyze the topic.
