The Auxílio Brasil payments will rise from R$ 400 to R$ 600, and the gas voucher will be paid at R$110. This is the government's main hope to improve its popularity ratings. The LDO was approved by Congress on July 12. Based on the premises defined by the LDO, the government will send the Federal Budget to the legislature on August 31. The budget rapporteur's amendments, classified as PR 9, were the most controversial points of the vote. The poll by the FSB/BTG Pactual Institute shows former President Lula has 41% of intended votes, and Jair Bolsonaro (PL) has 34%. The difference of 7% is the smallest in the series of eight polls that began in March of this year.
