This week, the government will send the 2025 budget proposal to Congress. The rapporteur will be Senator Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA). Before being put to a vote in the plenary of Congress, the text will be debated in the Joint Budget Committee. The House will continue this week with the voting on the bill that regulates the management and oversight of the Goods and Services Tax (PLP No. 108/24), authored by the Executive Branch. There are seven outstanding edits to be reviewed. On Friday, August 30, the electoral campaign period on radio and television begins. The time will be divided, with 60% for the mayoral race and 40% for the city council races.
