The federal holiday on Wednesday, May 1, reduces the pace of activities in Brasília, but there are still important events on the agenda. The payroll tax relief issue continues to resonate. This week, the Senate may vote on a bill that reformulates incentives for the events sector (PL nº 1,026/2024). The proposal, approved in the House on Tuesday, April 23, establishes new rules for the Emergency Program for the Resumption of the Events Sector (Perse). The Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Federal Senate is expected to vote on the Executive Office’s bill (PLP nº 233/23) that resumes the mandatory insurance for land vehicles.
