Congress and the Government are currently negotiating a series of important matters. The priority right now is the flood in Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Last night, the House approved the proposal submitted by President Lula that decrees a state of public emergency in Rio Grande do Sul until the end of this year. Another point is the issue of payroll tax relief. Some solutions are being considered. The first is the extension of the payroll tax exemption for 90 days. Today, the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Federal Senate are expected to vote on the Executive Office’s bill that resumes the mandatory insurance policy for land vehicles, maintaining the management of the compensation fund with the Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) (PLP nº 233/23).
