The House began analysis of the Tax Reform proposal yesterday after reading the report of Deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB). The president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), said that the text could be changed by the time of the vote. The Social Contribution on Goods and Services (CBS) and the Tax on Goods and Services (IBS) are scheduled to take effect in 2026. The Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, is due to meet with President Lula today to hand in her resignation. Deputy Celso Sabino (União-PA) is expected to replace her.
