Arthur Lira may decide to attach the court-ordered payments PEC to another matter that has already been approved by a Special Committee in order to shorten the processing time for the proposal. The opposition is against many of the measures included in the Administrative Reform proposal, and Maia supports including the Judiciary and the Public Ministry in the proposal. The House approved the new electoral code that includes a measure that institutes a four-year waiting period for some public servants, such as the military, members of the Public Ministry and police officers, before being eligible to run for office.
