The House elected presidents of the permanent committees, Haddad meets with governors to discuss the Fiscal Recovery Regime, and the government’s approval rating drops
Yesterday, the House began the election process for the permanent committees of the House. The presidents of 19 of the 30 committees were elected. Deputy Caroline de Toni (PL-SC) was elected president of the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ). The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, met with the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, to discuss the debt agreement with the Federal Government. Today, he will meet with Eduardo Leite, Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, to discuss the Fiscal Recovery Regime. The Genial/Quaest poll published yesterday showed a drop in the government's approval rating. Lula's approval rating fell from 54% to 51% compared to December of last year, while disapproval grew from 43% to 46%.
