The Constitution and Justice Committee of the House is expected to vote on Wednesday, April 22, on a favorable report by Deputy Paulo Azi regarding the admissibility of two Proposed Constitutional Amendments (PECs) addressing the 6x1 work schedule. If approved, the President of the House, Hugo Motta, will announce the creation of a Special Committee to debate the matter. Also on Wednesday, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) is set to review cases challenging a presidential decree that, in regulating the Over-Indebtedness Law, defined the “minimum subsistence level” at 25% of the current minimum wage. This amount represents the portion of income that must be preserved to cover basic living expenses and cannot be used to service debt. The Workers' Party will hold its 8th National Congress in Brasília from Friday through Sunday, under the theme “Sovereignty, Reconstruction, and Future”.
