The Lower House is entering another concentrated week of legislative activities. On the agenda are votes on topics considered crucial for both the government and Congress, such as: reinstating payroll taxes; remaining amendments to Complementary Bill No. 108/24, which regulates the Management Committee in the Tax Reform; and the Complementary Bill that reviews state debts. On Saturday, September 7, Independence Day, the opposition, led by Jair Bolsonaro, held a demonstration that focused primarily on Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes. The next step for Bolsonaro’s allies is to file another impeachment request against Moraes in the Senate. In connection with the ongoing disputes involving the STF and X, a public hearing is also scheduled tomorrow in the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) regarding the suspension of X and Starlink in Brazil.
