The impasse around the Precatórios PEC continues, the CAE of the Senate may vote on Sen. Jean Paul Prates’s report, and the leadership of the MDB should meet today to ratify Sen. Simone Tebet’s presidential candidacy
Some senators are calling for the PEC not to be enacted. Leaders in the House do not believe the deputies are ready to analyze the changes that were made. A solution should be announced this week as the government hopes to start issuing Auxílio Brasil payments on Friday. The Senate CAE may vote on Senator Jean Paul Prates’s (PT-RN) report, which provides for price guidelines for diesel, gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas, creates the Stabilization Fund for fuel prices and establishes an export tax on crude oil. If approved, the bill will go to the Senate Plenary for analysis. The probability is for the bill not to be concluded this year. If the MDB does not reach double digits in voting intentions by the first quarter of next year, it will likely give up on its own candidacy and try to support another third candidate.
