Yesterday’s release of a Nexus BTG Pactual poll on the presidential election showed President Lula in a statistical tie with Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and former Goiás Governor Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) in potential runoff scenarios. In a hypothetical runoff race against Flávio, Lula has 46%, while the senator has 45%. The presidential campaign of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) filed a complaint with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) against Finance Minister Dario Durigan and President Lula (PT), alleging that federal government resources may have been used for electoral activities benefiting Lula’s campaign. Supreme Federal Court Justice Flávio Dino authorized the Federal Police to access information from a São Paulo Civil Police operation involving the production company Go Up Entertainment, which is responsible for “Dark Horse”, a film portraying the life of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
