The Lower House concluded yesterday the vote on the remaining amendments to the bill regulating the Management Committee and the second phase of the Tax Reform (PLP 108/24). The bill now moves to presidential sanction. Also today, the Senate’s Constitution and Justice Committee will debate the Sentencing Guidelines bill. As approved by the Lower House, the proposal faces resistance. Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL–RJ) himself has called for changes to ensure that sentence reductions do not benefit convictions unrelated to the January 8 attacks. A poll released yesterday by Quaest, the first since Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL–RJ) was chosen by Jair Bolsonaro as a presidential candidate, shows the Senator polling between 21% and 27%, depending on the scenario.
