Following a meeting of party leaders, the Lower House set this week’s voting agenda. The agenda includes a bill providing for a linear cut in tax incentives, which is a priority for the Ministry of Finance. Yesterday, Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Dias Toffoli ordered the resumption of investigations into an alleged financial fraud scheme involving Banco Master, authorizing new investigative steps. The STF is also reviewing, in a virtual plenary session, the so-called “temporal framework” for the demarcation of indigenous lands. Justice Cristiano Zanin joined the rapporteur, Justice Gilmar Mendes, in finding the temporal framework unconstitutional.
