The measures included in the fiscal package announced by the government on Wednesday could reach the National Congress today. According to the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, the package involves a Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) and a complementary bill. A critical matter that lawmakers are awaiting a response on is the suspension of payments for parliamentary fund transfers, following a decision by Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Flavio Dino. Chief of Staff Rui Costa mentioned yesterday that President Lula has already decided on the appointments for the next directors of the Central Bank.
