Minister Fernando Haddad disclosed what would be the main measures of the new government to avoid the R$ 231.5 billion shortfall foreseen in the approved budget for 2023. He expects the deficit to come in somewhere between R$ 90 billion and R$ $100 billion. A large part of the plan's measures will be part of a program that the government has called "Litigation Zero", which consists of the forgiveness or discount of tax debts and fines. The Federal Police (PF) carried out a search and seizure warrant at the home of the former Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District (DF), Anderson Torres, who was former President Jair Bolsonaro's Minister of Justice last year. The document found brings Jair Bolsonaro back into the spotlight of the investigation. Haddad said that the government is still looking at whether the minimum wage will increase from R$ 1,302 to R$ 1,320 this year.
