Today, the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO) will detail its spending review agenda in a press conference. The government aims to save around R$ 26 billion in 2025. The conflict in Congress over parliamentary fund transfers is stalling the resumption of voting in the House on the second Tax Reform regulation bill on the Management Committee. Yesterday, Deputy Marcel Van Hattem (Novo-RS) read his report on the proposal that limits the monocratic decisions of STF justices. The vote on the text was postponed. Today, two topics with significant fiscal impact are on the STF’s agenda. The first is an appeal regarding the exclusion of the Service Tax (ISS) from the calculation of the PIS and Cofins taxes, with an estimated impact of up to R$ 35.4 billion. The second case is the collection of the Rural Worker Assistance Fund (Funrural) from individuals (the sector's social security contribution), with an estimated fiscal impact of R$ 20.9 billion.
