There are already enough signatures to create a Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) to investigate the fraud involving payroll loans for INSS retirees and pensioners. The opposition will attempt to file the request today, May 6. The installation of the Special Committee to analyze the income tax bill (PL No. 1,087/25) is scheduled for today. After the installation, the rapporteur, Deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL), will present a work schedule, which may take place next week. According to the committee chairman, Rubens Júnior (PT-MA), the bill is expected to be finalized by the Chamber between August and September. In other legislative news, with a vote expected between today and tomorrow, the new legal framework for concessions and PPPs (PL 7063/2017) should be voted upon without the provision that would limit contract extensions to 20% in cases of economic-financial rebalancing.
